pinqDR awarded 'Best Innovation' at the GAR Awards 2024
We're delighted to announce that pinqDR is the WINNER of the 'Best Innovation by an Individual or Organisation' award at the 14th annual GAR Awards.
pinqDR has received an award for ‘Best Innovation by an individual or organisation’ at the GAR Awards 2024. More than 400 people attended the sold-out event at the Hôtel du Collectionneur, a luxury Art Deco hotel near the Champs-Elysées, during Paris Arbitration Week. It was the 14th annual edition of the event and the largest to date.
We are delighted to receive this award, which was voted for by our friends, colleagues and peers in the legal community, amongst other great nominees in this category. There is some incredible innovation taking place in dispute resolution right now, not only in LegalTech and AI but diversity, sustainability, policy and governance too.
This award recognised both the legal and technical innovation pinqDR is bringing to the legal market. This innovation is based on enabling the use of the arbitral framework in the New York Convention to disputes resolved entirely online in a redefined process to deliver binding awards in under 8 weeks.
pinqDR’s online platform enables the expedited legal process defined in the Rules through a slick, simple online tool, providing parties and their representatives with clear, guided instruction in making submissions. The process is then arbitrator-led with fast communication and instruction to the parties, with notifications and reminders for all actions required. The outcome is an arbitral award, binding and enforceable in >160 states where the New York Convention is recognised in Law.
Guy Pendell, co-founder of pinqDR was in Paris to accept the award, and said:
"As a new business in a very traditional legal market, it is great to be recognised by at the leading international arbitration awards. Recognition for pinqDR’s innovative business model hopefully shows the market is ripe to embrace innovative technology solutions to old problems."
Iain Quirk KC, co-founder of pinqDR and also named in the award said:
“We are over the moon to win this GAR Award and especially so as it comes in pinqDR’s first year of operation. The recognition from our peers is particularly gratifying. pinqDR is not only making disputes work for business, but bringing integrity to the legal system and enabling access to justice. But the hard work has just started!”
pinqDR’s innovation is just beginning and this award is amazing validation of our approach so far. We have exciting plans for the future, with lots of developments in the pipeline to broaden the range of parties that can access pinqDR, as well as many features within the online platform to support legal and non-legal representatives even more.
